Coaching Bio

Adanna is a person-centred coach who is passionate about working with leaders and organisations genuinely committed to creating long-lasting social change. She has a particular interest in exploring how the relationship between identity, language and wellbeing shape personal and professional experiences. Adanna is committed to supporting ambitious people to lead with impact and compassion, without compromising their authentic sense of self or sacrificing their wellbeing.

Coaching Experience

Adanna is an ICF-accredited coach who works with middle and senior leaders on both personal and professional development. She currently coaches executive headteachers on their NPQEL journey. Adanna has also worked with senior leaders in a range of other sectors, including law, medicine, and the charity sector, as well as with business owners. This has given her a broad insight into the realities of the challenges faced by leaders today and developed her skill set in coaching on a wide range of areas including applying for promotion, preparing for board presentations, work-life balance, career change, being a senior leader in a MAT, dealing with microaggressions, and more.

Career Experience

Adanna has 18 years of experience in education in a range of schools and contexts. This includes an MA in Language, Ethnicity & Education and as an English teacher, and middle and senior leader, including Advanced Skills Teacher accreditation. She is experienced in working on national projects to address social inequity for young people inside and outside of education, including with Sutton Trust and with leading national children’s charities, such as Barnardo’s.  Adanna also serves as a school governor and is on the board of trustees for Mandala Theatre Company, an organisation committed to championing social justice for young people through the arts.
