EdConnect is a grassroots network for Early Career Teachers. We are born out of a series of chat groups on Instagram for primary trainee and newly qualified teachers. However, we recognise we could work with even more early career teachers in a much better way. We believe that early career teachers should be able to thrive not just survive. We recognise each early career teacher and their journey into the profession is different and the career path they wish to follow is different. We are ran by volunteers – by early career teachers for early career teachers. Each early career teacher that joins us as a member receives great support including being a member of a local hub so they can collaborate with other local early career teachers; access to events including support to enhance their employability; as well as access to a members area on our website, and much much more! We are really keen to work with individuals to promote diversity and flexibility at the beginning of their teaching careers.
