GAEd Training and Consultancy was set up to support schools with LGBTQ+ inclusion. While many providers offer PSHE and RSE curriculum guidance and resources, GAEd aims to work instead with governors, leadership teams and DEI leaders looking to effect whole school culture change, examining policy, systems, learning environments, inclusive language and pupil voice through training and coaching.

Gerlinde Achenbach (founder GAEd) is a former primary headteacher with a 30+ year teaching career in SE London. Now based in Suffolk and London, Gerlinde works both online and in-person with schools across the country, sharing her leadership experience and expertise in school improvement. changing school culture and developing leaders at all levels. GAEd works with schools, academies, federations and trusts, both maintained and independent, offering coaching and training for leadership and governor teams, carrying out quality assurance audits in best practice LGBTQ+ inclusion, coaching individual DEI leaders and teams, and delivering whole staff training. Although Gerlinde’s particular expertise is in primary and early years, she also supports secondaries, sixth forms and all-through schools.
