The Proud Trust is a life saving and life enhancing organisation that helps LGBT+ young people empower themselves, to make a positive change for themselves, and their communities. We do this through youth groups, coordinating national and regional LGBT+ youth work networks, managing the LGBT+ Centre for Manchester, delivering of training, running events and campaigns and undertaking research.

In addition to our youth work, we work directly with schools and educators, supporting them in making their school community more LGBT+ inclusive. We are a delivery partner of the Rainbow Flag Award; a nationally recognised framework to support teaching staff in ensuring all aspects of their school are inclusive of their young LGBT+ people.

Alongside teachers, we develop educational, LGBT+ inclusive resources to help embed LGBT+ icons, history and issues into their curriculum and usualise LGBT+ identities.
